چکیده

Zinc (Zn) is a key micronutrient affecting bio-functions of crops. Impacts foliar application three forms Zn-containing agrichemicals on the physiology rice seedlings and their uptake heavy metal(loid)s micronutrients from fully flooded paddy soils were investigated in greenhouse study. Rice 45 days after germination randomly exposed to an equivalent amount 100 mg L?1 zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs), bulk particles (ZnOBPs), salts (Zn2+) through exposure. At termination, divided into roots shoots concerned metal contents plant tissues determined with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Our results demonstrated that all Zn displayed similar effect growth, but ZnONPs led greatest root exudate excretion inhibition arsenic (As) uptake. Foliar resulted 28% less As while Zn2+ only caused 15% decrease accumulation same tissues. ZnOBPs had minimal impact concentration shoots. also promoted iron (Fe) copper (Cu) shoots, both which are essential for humans. The suggest more favorable outcomes growth food safety than other two types Zn. Overall, our showed nanoagrichemicals have important nutrition implications addition agronomical roles could be potentially used alleviate fortify grains.

Rice (Oryza sativa L) plantation affects the stability of biochar in paddy soil

Conversion of rice straw into biochar for soil amendment appears to be a promising method to increase long-term carbon sequestration and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The stability of biochar in paddy soil, which is the major determining factor of carbon sequestration effect, depends mainly on soil properties and plant functions. However, the influence of plants on biochar stability in...

Effect of external iron and arsenic species on chelant-enhanced iron bioavailability and arsenic uptake in rice (Oryza sativa L.).

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of external iron status and arsenic species on chelant-enhanced iron bioavailability and arsenic uptake. Rice seedlings (Oryza sativa L.) were used as model plant, and were grown in artificially contaminated sandy soils irrigated with Murashige and Skoog (MS) culture solution. Arsenate uptake in roots and shoots of rice seedlings were affected ...

Distribution and translocation of selenium from soil to grain and its speciation in paddy rice (Oryza sativa L.).

Selenium, an essential micronutrient for humans, is insufficient in dietary intake for millions of people worldwide. Rice as the most popular staple food in the world is one of the dominant selenium (Se) sources for people. The distribution and translocation of Se from soil to grain were investigated in a Se-rich environment in this study. The Se levels in soils ranged widely from 0.5 to 47.7 m...
